Terms of Sale
These terms cover pre-orders placed at designmotiontexture.com with Design Motion Texture ("DMT", "we", "us"), a Seattle, Washington studio. By placing a pre-order you agree to them. Questions? Write support@designmotiontexture.com.
1. How pre-orders work
Every color of every style is made in runs of 50 pieces. Sizes mix freely inside a run. When you pre-order, you reserve a spot in the run that's open for that color. When a run reaches 50, it locks and goes into production, and the next run opens. An order that crosses 50 stays together, so a run can close a few pieces over 50.
2. Your card and when it's charged
At checkout we save your card with our payment processor, Stripe. Nothing is charged at checkout. By placing a pre-order you authorize DMT to charge that card later, without further action from you, when the run your items are in reaches 50. If your items are in more than one run, you may see one charge per run. Each charge is the price of those items (after any promotion), plus shipping on your order's first charge, plus any sales tax that applies.
If a charge is declined or your bank asks you to approve it, we'll email you a secure link to pay. We may retry the card automatically. If payment isn't completed within 7 days of the first attempt, those items are released from the run and nothing is charged for them.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel, or change a size, free of charge any time before your run fills, from your account or by emailing us. Once a run locks for production it can't be cancelled. If a run hasn't filled 60 days after it opened, we cancel its pre-orders automatically. Nothing is charged, and we'll let you know.
4. Prices, shipping and tax
Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is a flat $8 per order and free when your order totals more than $150 after promotions. We currently ship within the United States only. Sales tax is calculated when your card is charged, based on your shipping address and where we're required to collect it. If we list a product at the wrong price, we'll contact you before charging and you can cancel.
5. Promotions
One promo code per order. Codes have no cash value, can't be combined, may have minimums, dates or limits, and can end at any time. The discount is locked in when you place the pre-order.
6. Production and delivery
Pieces are cut and sewn in the USA after a run locks. Orders typically ship 8–10 weeks after the run fills, or 9–11 weeks with a custom hem. These are estimates, not guarantees. If there's a meaningful delay, we'll email you. Sizing charts are working measurements and may change slightly after fit sampling.
7. Custom hems
Custom hems are made to the finished inseam you enter at checkout. You can change it until your run fills. Custom-hemmed items are final sale.
8. Returns and exchanges
Because every piece is made to order, we don't offer cash refunds for change-of-mind returns. We offer exchanges or store credit instead. See our Returns & Exchanges policy. This doesn't limit any rights you have by law for defective or incorrect items.
9. Your account
Your account is your email address. We sign you in with a one-time link. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone with it can view and change your open orders.
10. Limits of liability
To the extent allowed by law, DMT's total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived by law.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. We may update them from time to time. The version in effect when you placed your pre-order applies to that order.
